Sara Ferguson
Sara is the Executive Director of FYI, overseeing all day-to-day operations as well as external relations for the organization. Sara lives in Fishers with her husband, Matt, and her two sons, Isaac and Liam. Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Purdue University.
Prior to FYI, Sara served in a role at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development supporting a team of regional managers overseeing a statewide youth initiative program called Jobs for America’s Graduates. In addition, Sara has worked in program development and operations within higher education and non-profit education organizations.
With a passion for education, career development, and scaling impactful programs, Sara remains dedicated to fostering opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen communities.
Matt Schlueter
Matt grew up in rural Illinois, the youngest of 5 children. He majored in Engineering and minored in Business Management at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. After college, he quickly climbed the ranks in the mortgage industry as one of the most successful Loan Officers in the country winning a multitude of awards along the way in Sales and Servant Leadership. Matt moved to Hamilton County in 2008 and currently manages a mortgage office in Fishers for Magnolia Bank. He has a wife and 3 kids and has a passion for promoting Mental Health Awareness in the Indianapolis community.
Nick Scheske
Nick Scheske is the Director of Student Ministries of Heartland Church, a multi ethnic church located in Fishers, IN. Growing up in Hamilton Country, Nick was a student in the Hamilton Southeastern School district attending Hamilton Southeastern High School. Upon his graduations from high school, Nick attended Wheaton College (IL) where he played football and received a BA in Business & Economics. During his time at Wheaton College, Nick’s passion for helping teenagers began to flourish through volunteer opportunities within the youth group of Willow Creek Community Church, located in the suburbs of Chicago. Upon graduation, Nick joined the staff of Willow Creek Community Church where he served as a youth pastor for 7 years, eventually having the privilege of leading the youth ministry of their largest campus. In the spring of 2019, Nick and his wife Abby felt called back to the town of Fishers and joined the staff of Heartland Church, the church which Nick grew up in. Nick has a deep-seated passion for watching students in grow into the person they have been created to be and considers it a true honor to love on families and students in the community he grew up in. Nick loves watching college football, spending time outdoors with is wife Abby, and playing with his two sons Graham & Mac.

I reside in Fishers with my husband and three daughters. One of my passions is education, particularly the evolving opportunities in technology. I am active in my church and local community. I am a part participatint in the Women’s Fund OPTIONS program and serve as Secretary on the Indiana Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. I am a Financial Advisor with FORUM Private Client Group.
Joe Eaton
Joe Eaton has been a resident of Fishers since 1990. He and his wife Florie have raised two children, both graduates of Fishers High School, and have been actively involved in numerous civic and philanthropic organizations in Fishers. Joe is currently a member of the City of Fishers Town Hall Building Corporation and was the co-chair of the Allisonville Road Corridor Committee. Joe is also currently a member of the Fifty Club of Fishers. Joe is also a member of the Butler University Board of Trustees. Joe previously served for eight years as a member of the board of Directors of Launch Fishers as well as serving for eight years as a member of the board of directors of the Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation, including a term as President, and helped co-found the HSSF Advisory Council. Joe also is the past founder and president of TigerONE, a non-profit organization serving all student athletes at Fishers High School. He is a graduate of Butler University and the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Joe has worked at Barnes & Thornburg LLP’s Indianapolis office since 1991 as a litigation attorney, defending industrial and chemical manufacturers and medical device manufacturers in product liability cases in state and federal courts across the country. Joe joined the FYI board in August 2019 and looks forward to advancing FYI’s mission of providing specialized mentor programs for all students.
Ashley Elrod
Ashley leads the communications strategy and media relations for the City of Fishers as its public relations director. With over a decade of communications experience in the non-profit and public sectors, she directs strategy for major projects including the Fishers Mental Health Initiative and the city’s partnership with Hamilton Southeastern Schools, CurioCity. Ashley holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from Indiana University and lives in Fishers with her husband and two children.
Corby Thompson
In addition to FYI, Corby serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Hamilton County Community Foundation, Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis, Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation, as well as the Fishers Rotary Club. Corby holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. Corby lives in Fishers with his wife, Julie and they have twin boys, Cole and Cooper.
Latrece Murdock
Latrece Murdock is a wife, mother, and entrepreneur. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Latrece is passionate about her faith, philanthropy, civic leadership and engagement. She contributes to our community through volunteering and serving on several non-profit Boards of Directors. Latrece is an active member of her church, and finds great joy through empowering people and organizations to make a positive, sustained impact on their community by connecting them to community leaders and resources.
Corby Thompson
In addition to YMI, Corby serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Hamilton County Community Foundation, Builders Association of Greater Indianapolis, Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation, as well as the Fishers Rotary Club. Corby holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University as well as a Masters of Business Administration from Indiana University. Corby lives in Fishers with his wife, Julie and they have twin boys, Cole and Cooper.
Troy Woodruff
As RQAW’s President, Troy along with Brad Battin were instrumental in moving their corporate headquarters to Downtown Fishers. He also heads up and co-owns BW Construction and BW Development. He formerly served as INDOT Chief of Staff, COO, and Vincennes District Director, during both Governor Daniels’ and Governor Pence’s administrations. Prior to his work at INDOT, Troy worked for Anthem as the Director of Indiana State Sponsored Business helping administer Anthem’s role in the Healthy Indiana Plan. He has previously been an Indiana State Representative for District 64, President and CEO of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, and Group Homes Manager at the Southwest IN Regional Youth Village. He is married to Melissa, with two sons Evan and Austin. They live in Fishers, IN and attend Northview Church, Fishers Campus.
Matt Schicker
Matt Schicker is an International Fine Wine Supplier for Taub Family Selections, a division of Palm Bay International. As a Division Manager over 8 states, Matt educates and manages Distributors and State Managers and is in charge of $45 million dollars in business revenue. He has a degree from Governors State University in Chicago, has studied in the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) out of the UK. He has also been active in the community through a mens’ initiative, “Fight Club,” focusing on developing men in our community through Christ, conducts smalls mens’ groups at Crosspoint Church, has been a Mentor in YMI for 4 years, is a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus and holds a Certificate of Ministry. Matt resides in Fishers, IN with his wife and two kids.
Molly Kirwan
Molly Kirwan is the Mental Health & School Counseling Coordinator for Hamilton Southeastern Schools. She received her bachelor’s degree from IU Bloomington and master’s degree from Northwestern University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of clinical experience in the healthcare setting, providing mental health services to youth and families. She is passionate about youth mental health and working with the family and school system to support the whole child.
Megan Baumgartner
Megan Baumgartner is the Director of Economic Development with the City of Fishers. Megan started with the city in 2015 and she oversees the Planning & Zoning Department, leads business engagement and recruitment efforts, redevelopment projects, and strategic planning throughout Fishers. Prior to joining the Fishers team, Megan worked at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation as a project manager helping expanding companies in Indiana receiving state incentives. Megan is a member of the Indiana Economic Development Association, Past-President of the Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, and a board member of Fishers Youth Initiative. She lives in Fishers with her husband, Jeff, and children, Willa and Beau.
Kim Goss
Kim Goss is wife to Rick, mother to two sons, Andy and Evan, and Mimi to Eli and Junie. She’s originally from the Indy area, but moved to Fishers in 1991. Her entire career was with Indiana Bell/AT&T; retiring in 2008 after 31 years in sales and operations. Her passions, outside of family and friends, are her church and serving her community. In her spare time, she travels, quilts, and plays as much pickleball as possible.
Andrea Burrow
Andrea Burrow serves as a Learning & Development Partner at Knowledge Services, where she is dedicated to designing impactful learning experiences that enhance employee performance and foster a dynamic learning culture. She earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University and a Master’s in Organizational Commuication from the University of Cincinnati. Andrea has lived in Fishers since 1995, when she and her husband chose it as the perfect place to start their family. A proud mom of four, she enjoys spending time with her family, tennis, reading, and traveling.
Betsy Binkholder
Betsy Binkholder is a native Floridian and graduate of the University of Florida. She moved to Fishers in 1998 with her husband and two daughters. She retired from the insurance industry after 42 years to focus her attention on her four grandchildren and serving others. She is passionate about her family, faith, feeding the hungry, and educating our youth. She has been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Africa several times to install water purification systems and provide health and hygiene training. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, and being outdoors.
Nicole McClanahan
Having previously worked in corporate America in marketing and operations, Nicole transitioned to working with her husband on their entrepreneurial business, CJ McClanahan, and raising their two children. Through their business, they have encouraged others to live gratefully and give back to organizations they are passionate about. She enjoys exercising, trying out new local restaurants and traveling with her family. Nicole and her husband CJ are soon to be empty nesters in Fishers and have enjoyed watching the community grow and thrive over the past several decades.
